He won't get 5 mil for a purse split with Golovkin. Nobody is going to bid 10 mil for that fight.

He is smart. Plus if he beats golovkin he can get a rematch for more money and possibly fight Canelo later for way more than 5 mill. It was a good decision. No one wins a decision against Alvarez anyway.

He couldn’t force ****, that’s the part you don’t seem to understand. Is he getting 35%? Clearly not, he Fd himself.

you nail it, it isnt about sd not getting a good payday, its about him trying to take advantage of a situation... no belt is worth 5 mil...

What’s the fallout from him not getting 35%?

He can force GGG to go to a 50/50 purse bid.

He didn’t have anything to lose by saying no to $5.5 million. The final scenario if he loses out on GGG and Canelo is he holds a piece of the middleweight title by beating Szemereta. Eventually someone will want to unify and give him a bunch of money. Jacobs got $12 million for having the IBF.
