It's not a loaded boxing weekend but that doesn't mean it can't be fun. Kownacki (19-0, 15 KO) is starting to look like a contender and is making for fun fights while he does it. While Arreola (38-5-1, 33 KO) never quite posted the wins that justified his place in the sanctioning body ratings over the years, he has often made for fun in the ring. Arreola is trying to make one more run and this is his last best chance. That is the recipe for an interesting heavyweight main event. Light heavyweight Marcus Browne will also be in action against faded former champion Jean Pascal.

Kownacki is on the come up, Arreola is on the way out.

But because he knows this could be his last run he might be very dangerous.

Interesting fight indeed.

Kownacki has mowed through some of the journeymen veterans on the division (Washington, Spilzka, Kiladze, etc) but he looked vulnerable against Charles Martin. I felt like Martin could have taken that fight if he fought with more confidence in the early rounds.

Arreola can punch and Kownacki didn't show me much defense. That being said, I still think Chris's punch resistance has eroded and this will be the story of the fight. Babyface catches a few bombs with his face and walks through them to stop Arreola in early rounds.

I'm hoping Pascal turns back the clock and shocks Browne but I'm not confident in that. Browne by UD in which Jean takes too much punishment.
