Good scrap, Serhiy is for sure a top MW and deserves his shot, but, about the victory, if GGG couldnt get a decision, to get a win Derevyanchenko literally has to kill the guy

Solid comparison. Not sure I'd disagree with anything you said. The GGG-lite angle specifically feels on point.

I like "The Technician" but I think Canelo is too much for him! Canelo's hand speed is the difference, and Dervy doesn't have the power like GGG, to make Canelo respect him! Canelo didn't even respect GGG in the second fight, so I can't see Dervy winning more than 5 rounds! Salute to Andre Rozier! Good Luck on the management company!

I’d rather canelo fight Derevyanchenko and keep his ibf, assuming he wins, then to see him fight someone he Already fought twice for no belt. If ggg gets a strap then yeah it’d make the 3rd fight that much better. You can add Kovalev and the other champs at 75 to the list as well but I doubt he would have much success against any champ at 75 not named Kovalev. Personally I think Benavidez and Bivol would kick canelos ass, but I think he can take all the others you mentioned and win. Canelo def has plenty of options.
I'd still prefer ggg over dervey because I feel it's a more competitive fight and would like to see a winner between the 2 without controversy. I don't care as much about belts because I think they're overrated in this watered down era of "regular champions, super champions, franchise champions etc". But, of all the other fighters I mentioned, I'd prefer them all over ggg because they're young and it's time for newer faces to start earning names for themselves.

Fair, I hope canelo sticks to his word and not face ggg until he picks up a belt... why? Because that would mean that we would get ggg vs Andrade/charlo and I like both of those fights and it’s fights where either of those three can beat each other. It would put a twist on everything and make it a lil fun as well. I would watch those fights for sure

Derevyanchenko is no pushover and has solid skills, but I am still puzzled as to why DAZN did not approve a unification fight with Demetrius Andrade who is a DAZN fighter. More puzzling is why Andrade and Hearn, his promoter are not complaining publically. Maybe DAZN will get some sense (better late than never as they say) and lean of Golovkin to fight Andrade in the Fall or in December. I would be ready to cancel my DAZN subscription of they allow Golovkin to fight some still and then pressure Alvarez to fight GGG in May.

I don't see it. Derev is good but he's nothing really special.

People ripping on Derev too much here, the guy is a very good boxer. He'll make it relatively close and like any top boxer is in with a shot of winning this. We'll wait and see, I just hope it happens.

Dev is making a money grab knowing he has little real chance of an upset over canelo. This will also knock him down to Gatekeeper status which isnt the best career move imo. I dont care what mando or ranking he may be, he would be better off fighting another top contender and building his brand back up. A SD loss to Jacobs was a generous decision. This potencial fight with canelo is a ****** decision. Honestly, the appeal of this fight is cold to barely luke warm with most boxing fans. Better fights to be made for both fighters. Much rather see him fight GGG Andrade or charlo.
