    Bernard Hopkins & HBO

Does anyone know what Hopkins said to the HBO commentary team after his fight with Hopkins, when it appeared that Emanuel Steward shook his hand in some sort of reconciliation? I watched it on British TV so I don't know. I guess it was maybe something about Hopkins not being effective in a higher weight class...?

He told Manny to tell Taylor that he is passing the torch to him, that he wishes him the best, and he has to carry on the legacy

He told Manny to have Taylor bring home the belts, referring to the Winky Wright fight the following week. He said he wanted to be a champ with Taylor at the same time.

It was a classy move for B-Hop.

I'd actually like to see him commentate for HBO.

He and Merchant going at it would be priceless.

I know it's a little off topic, but I was watching Roy Jones Jr. vs. David Telesco today, and the referee Frank Mercante told them to stop talking to eachother as they were constantly shouting, threatening to eventually deduct a point, and it was priceless Merchant: "The ref threatened to deduct a point if they didn't stop talking, wow, I've never heard of that before. Maybe they should put him in the US senate!"

                Wtf!?
That's a dumb ref. Telling guys to not talk trash makes sense in sports like basketball because they're just playing a game, but in boxing they're fighting each other. Why can't they talk trash? They're even allowed to talk trash in football (association & american). It would be so funny if one of them said Stfu to the ref.

Anyway, like the others said he wanted to tell Manny to tell Taylor to make sure he wins so it wouldn't look as if he loss to a one hit wonder, but to the true heir to the throne.

George Foreman & Harold Lederman seemed to think that talking was against the rules. I have no idea whether it is or it isn't.
