Gary is already slowing down. I have noticed it his past couple fights. It may be inactivity but he definitely looks on the decline. If he wants a big fight, the time is now to walk up to 130 and cash in.

Gary wasted such a promising career being inactive.

If that's the case, they should be featuring him on Fox for s few fights. What's better than headlining on national TV and destroying someone like he did the other night.

Fk all this PPV talk, there's no fights for him besides maybe LSC that do any kind of PPV numbers.

The kid needs some more exposure to the casual fan

Ten years from now Gervonta Davis will retire a multi-millionaire, undefeated at 29-0. He wil be touted as an HOFer and ATG. His fans will point to his TKO of Jose Pedraza to justify this claim.

I kinda agree with Floyd here. At some point, GRJ needs to sack up and move up to 130. He can't just stay at 126 calling out guys in higher weight classes than him without taking the initiative.

This would be a great fight, no doubt.

But GRJ needs to move up from LSC, who he clearly isn't going to get, and move up.

Can't disagree. Question is...how do you build a ppv star in today's environment. I don't think the Mayweather model works today.

Yeah, I dont know. Crawford is a great fighter but he cant sell for shtt... Loma hasn't even attempted one, GGG couldn't sell good without Canelo.

Different times I guess. Younger folks use the illegal streams and guys in their 40's like me I think are sick of being forced to pay $75 for any decent matchup between name fighters.

At the beginning of the PBC I had Hope's Haymon would do a DAZN type monthly payment deal and do away with PPV because he has a great stable of fighters to put on shows monthly but it seems to have turned into the same ole TR/GBP model of old where the decent fights go to PPV.

Tank needs a few FOX fights but most importantly he needs the right opponent for a PPV. Only one I can see is Leo Santa Cruz. He's got the Hispanic market to help sell it. Farmer is a nobody and that fight would bomb like Crawford vs Postal IMO.

If this wasn't Floyd and Bob, it could get done! If Farmer re-ups with MatchRoom, I doubt that gets done either! Floyd should be talking up GRJ, not talking down! GRJ was the one who brought up fighting Tank, and saying it would be "easy work!" That would be enough for me! All I would say to GRJ is "sign here!"

Tevin Farmer and Joseph Diaz begin negotiations for fall fight
                  July 31, 2019:

“We talked about it. Tevin wants the fight, Diaz wants the fight, (Farmer co-promoter) Eddie (Hearn) wants the fight. So do Golden Boy and DAZN,” DiBella said. “It’s a great match of styles. If we can’t make a unification fight, which doesn’t look good, Diaz is our No. 1 choice.”

Like I said, Floyd needs to holla at Gary Russell Jr. ASAP!

Stop right there!!! 1.Chavez Jr fought at least 50 tomato cans b4 we saw him fight a known name. 2. Canelo fought at least 40 guys from Mexico in backyards b4 he started fighting known guys in the USA. Let Tank Davis develop, he's pretty young with a few championships and has star power now all we have to do is let him continue to build.
