A grudge match of 130-pound southpaws between Baltimore’s WBA “super” champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis and IBF counterpart Tevin Farmer is “probably inevitable” and “a meaningful possibility” for 2019, Farmer’s promoter, Lou DiBella told Tha Boxing Voice during a Tuesday podcast hosted by Nestor Gibbs, Ronald Goodall, Michael Gross and Mario Mungia.
“You could probably see a Gervonta Davis fight [with Farmer.] I think it’s probably inevitable,” said DiBella. “If it happens in 2019 it will be late in the year. It won’t be early because of Tevin’s contract with DAZN. But late in the year, it’s certainly a meaningful possibility.”

Someone is going to cut Tevin Farmer a nice check! Either DAZN or Mayweathyer, but Tevin is going to get paid!

All I know is I don’t expect Russell, Davis or Santa Cruz to fight each other. I don’t really care for these fighters, they fight once a year and expect to be praise as boxing stars haha

This is a great fight but what is not mentioned is the weight. I am sure Gary Russell Jr. would love to fight Tank at a catchweight. So moving to 130 is not on the menu. We all know Tank struggles to make 130 already. Meeting at 128 would drain him.
It’s a good fight but why shouldn’t Russell prove he can fight at the weight 130 so there aren’t any surprise weight drain tactics in the negotiations?
But Idec no more unnessary black eliminators. The best fight at 126 is and has been Russell vs Santa Cruz. That fight is WELL over due and on the same side of the street. So why is this shill placing more pressure on Russell vs Davis?
As usual we see Idec’s bluff and we go all in as usual. Is that what you got out of this article? If Gary really wants Tank then Gary should move up the measly 4 pounds or keep calling out Leo. Tank & Farmer is the better fight & yes Gary should be fighting Leo.

It's a duck move considering GRJ has called him out for a fight numerous times already. Mayweather leading the kid down the path of least resistance. He's a champion, not a prospect, it's time for some real competition to elevate his status in the game.

With this story. They say Russell jr fights at 126 but so did Mares and cuellar when they were bringing them up to to 130 as midgets to help make tank look good. Good work exposing this guy as a pbc shill. Even the way he talks about their ratings is biased compared to the way he bashes tops ranks espn ratings.
