Which is worse? Drug test or losing

Given Joshua recently lost to Ruiz unexpected and Whyte won but then subsequently it has come out he failed a test - what is people’s view on which is worse?

I look at Miller and see he potentially could get other big fights shortly only several months after being found guilty of multiple drug test failings. It feels to me like it passes over quickly where as a loss stays forever. Canelo is an obvious other example.

Are we far too quick to forgive those who fail when we want to watch the big fights?
