If this is truly their position, PBC's statements regarding the WBO confirm what the press and boxing fans already suspected: it is a misguided attempt to avoid the possible unification bout between WBO welterweight Champion Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr.

I’ve noticed that the only PBC fighter that the WBO has in their rankings is Sergey Lipinets and almost all of their champions are with Top Rank. The WBO is one of the most corrupt sanctioning bodies out there.

You realize guys have to be signed up and pay the organizations fees to be ranked, right? They’re not in the rankings because apparently Haymon isn’t having his guys recognize or go for the WBO belt anymore.

The PBCs guys in the WBOs rankings probably have managers that went ahead and paid the fee anyway just in case.

Trout was dropped from the WBO rankings a while back so that Liam Smith could fight a nobody for the vacant strap instead of Trout. The WBO claimed that Trout wasn’t included in the title fight because he was fighting someone else, but Smiths fight for the vacant title wasnt even announced until a month after Trouts fight had already happened. And they didn’t just skip him, they removed him from the rankings entirely.

Trout is suing them for 40 million dollars.

wrong. You do not pay any of the organizations to be ranked. You pay sanction fees for eliminators and title fights, but there is no fees for rankings.
