    Mosley, Baldy, & Mararito Thoughts

1st off I thought that Mosley looked really good. I dont know if he looked as good as people made it out to be but he looked good. He looked more lean & faster but I think some of that may have had to do with the small shorts he was wearing. Sometimes that just makes you look smaller & faster. I still dont think he beats Floyd or Margarito but I would love to see it.

I said it about a 100 times watching the fight but Ill say it again: Baldy is a monster. I was really impressed with him and he was surprisingly even a good boxer. Ive heard some say that they want to see him fight Floyd and he may give Floyd trouble but I think thats crazy. He was great but he wouldnt win a single round against Floyd and I actually think that he may get stopped.

He beat Zab but he still barley beat him and that was with Zab unfocused. He barley beat him because he still had trouble with Zab's boxing ability. Then tonight he beat Gatti pretty good but when Gatti hurt his hand, Baldy didnt do much afterwards. Gatti brawled alot with him but once he hurt his hand, he went into pure boxing mode and Baldy seemed to have some trouble with that. That told me that Floyd would kill him.

Floyd would definatly have way more problems with Margarito then Baldy because Margarito is taller, has alot of power, and throws alot of punches. Baldy doesnt present those same problems and is just too slow for Floyd. With that being said, I think Baldy beats everyone else in the division except for Margarito which I think is a 50/50 fight. He would also give Shane problems but I think Shane's speed would be too much for him. Callazo is the only other guy with a chance because he is a slick boxer but he doesnt have the kind of speed that most slick guys have so I think Baldy would get him. Hatton & Cotto arent ready for him yet.

I still hope Floyd fights Margarito because I want to see Floyd in a fight where he has a chance to lose. Not only do I think Baldy has no chance to win but I dont even think he has a chance to win one round. People always like to bring up Castillo but ever since the N'Dou fight Floyd has been a much more offensive fighter so that all out pressure stuff is not going to completely work against him like it did with Castillo & Chaves for the simple fact that Floyd throws way more punches then he use to.

Some of you mightve thought I was crazy when I said Floyd would stop him but I honestly do. Baldy is tough with a iron chin but I just think Floyd will have landed a million punches on him and about 10 punches to 1 of Baldy's. Ever since Floyd has been more offensive in the N'Dou fight he has stopped N'Dou, Gatti, Mitchell, and Bruseles and he stopped all of them fairly early. The only guys he didnt stop were Zab & Chop but they are both lefties and he still dropped Chop twice and may have stopped Zab if it wasnt for the low blows. Both Gatti & Zab still hit Baldy alot and you can times that by 10 with Floyd who has much more better then both of them.

I hope Floyd fights Margarito but I think whats really funny is that Floyd gets so much hate that they might start saying that he's running no matter what he does. If he fights Baldy then he's obviously running from Margarito and if he fights Margarito then people will say that Baldy looked so good that he scared Floyd into fighting Margarito.

I hated that Baldy only mention HAtton and PBF not a word of Margarito.

Baldomir's style meshes well against almost any opponent. He uses timing. Thats how he beat Zab. And thats how he forced gatti to brawl. I think he would time Mayweather as he comes in with his pawing jab and eventually catch him. How would Floyd adjust remains to be seen. Plus we havent seen how Floyd deals with a true WW. Margarito/Baldomir makes for an interesting fight as well. I see a brawl in a phonebooth. I think Margarito has more offense and firepower. That will carry him...

Well, he mentioned the big undefeated names, basically he was just name dropping, even though I wouldn't mind if both Margarito & Mayweather wanted a fight with him. IMHO I'd love to see Baldomir/Margarito, more so then PBF/Margarito cause I think it would be a more competitive fight, I think Floyd would beat both of them fairly easily. As much as people hate the idea, I wouldn't mind seeing Floyd fight Mosley &/or go up to 154 & fight Spinks, just to test the water in that division(since he wants to go after DLH), & lastly I'd like to see Hatton/Cotto at 147.

I hope at least one of those fights happen

At 35 year old, Baldy is looking for a big payday.
He won't get it with Magarito.

Exactly. How come people dont understand this? It made me sick when the HBO guys kept on saying that last night. Obviously he wants Floyd & Hatton because they bring big money. A fight between Baldy & Margarito would only make chump change

Baldy would be a tough fight for Mayweather. Mayweather would try to jump in with his trademark combinations and get caught in the middle of them. That is what Baldy does. He uses that granite chin of his as bait. Because he is easy to hit, fighters will stand in front of him and hit him and get countered. Will Baldy win against Mayweather? Probably not, but I do not think it will be an easy fight for him.

Don't look too much into it. Baldomir was thinking of who could bring the most money.

Now, my opinions on Baldomir in regards to the rest of the division:

                1. He could beat Margarito
                2. He could beat Hatton
                3. He could..conceivably...beat Mosley (Mosley did look good against Vargas; but how much was that good Mosley and how much was bad Vargas?...seriously)
                4. Mayweather, because of his speed and style, would more than likely outpoint him.

You have to realize that Floyd is not your average fighter. His D is too good for that. Alot of you seem to like to put him in the catagory with other guys like Zab & Mosley. They are fast offensive guys but have no D. Floyd will never run in and get caught like that by a right hand fighter. Baldy wouldnt win one round and I dont see him landing hardly anything unless Floyd wants him too just so he can block them with his arms until Baldy gets tired.

Also, Baldy still doesnt hit that hard. If Baldy was a lefty then maybe he will give Floyd problems but he wont be able to hit Floyd at all

Floyd did a lot better against Gatti. I don't think Baldomir is better than Hatton or Cotto, he was just beating an Arturo Gatti who had too much wars, hurt his right hand, which he seldom threw.
Look how often Baldomir misses, when Gatti was ducking.
