    why doesnt loma fight gamboa?

most claim lopez isnt seasoned enough...and of course lopez is now trying to "sort out" some out of the ring stuff

gamboa is seasoned....he looked pretty good last night imo...i dont think the fight would be tough to make......good/marketable opponent for loma

or is that seen as too tough?

gamboa looked good because he crushed Roman Martinez who is shot and has no punch resistance anymore. Martinez had a 3 year layoff before he was in a close fight until the stoppage against a career 122 pounder.

I like gamboa, but he has too many holes in his game and is already 37 years old. He has somewhat name value, but that win would immediately get discredited right after loma dominates him.

If Lopez has to deal with personal problems, the next logical choice is Commey.

why are people so quick to use the "after he beats him that win would get discredited anyway" excuse? it seems if you believe that than you believe any win loma gets would be discredited......thats the attitude i get

i hear the same stuff with golovkin "well if he fought and beat him people would just discredit it anyway"....so what? gotta fight and beat someone right? most golovkin fans believe anyone he beats will be discredited

gamboa has a name that most stateside boxing fans know....

id agree that martinez is shot....but gamboa is actually older

gamboa is a good fight people would watch after campbell....its logical...and prob not hard to make as i bet gamboa would love the pay check and the shot

Why would he fight Gamboa? Gamboa is shot to ****.

He beat someone more shot, and now he’s going to fed to Tank.

Good post. Davis is a champion and a prospect at the same time.

Because thats the trend that u can observe on boxingscene.

I dont see your argument why loma should fight gamboa instead of unifying with commey.

Being shot has something to do with age, but there are a lot of other factors playing into it.

But Gamboa is also over the hill though and is known to have a weak chin. Loma would probably punish gamboa for flurrying with his chin in the air.

If loma gets past campbell and commey to unify all the belts and if the other guys (haney and lopez) are still not ready by then and if none of the 130 champs want to move up and challenge lomachenko and if loma doesnt want to move up in weight after unifying. Only then is gamboa a viable opponent.

again...u dont seem to understand...im not concerned with how u think the fight plays out or who wins and how dominant the win is....

its sensible....gamboa is known ...and he looks the part...he would want the fight for sure....and he can make for a decent/entertaining fight

you are the same type that excuses golovkin for not fighting lara(again im talking pre jacobs when lara would have been the best name on golovkins resume by far...and im not suggesting gamboa would be the best name on lomas resume im merely pointing out golovkin/lara situation).....it was always the same BS from golovkins fans "oh golovkin would kill him anyways so who cares".....that excuse doesnt fly.....loma fights alot of guys he beats up easily and "gets no credit for" after.....so why not gamboa?

I was a big Gamboa fan back in the day. He's past it these days tough. Loma or Davis would make short work of him, and probably don't get much credit in doing so.

Loma has a possible undisputed fight lined up after his unification. So it would be a step backwards for him.
