Don't gotta get into a debate about the names involved, but lets just assume you are a pro boxer. Your opponent gets caught using a anabolic steroid before the fight. You are told of this & you are told that the commission is okaying the fight. Would you trust the commissions judgement & fight or would you opt out?

If I was successful, not hurting for a big opportunity, then no. I'd tell em to kick rocks. I'm not gonna lie though, if it was my "big shot", of course. Most boxers need the money and aren't being given a lot of chances. I think people endure a lot of bullshyt in this sport. ***, I mean, they're getting punched in the face for a living. Most boxers are used to being treated bad. -
Let's be honest, most high level boxers are on them. They know this so why would a confirmed test, result in pulling out of the fight. You already know there's a high chance that they're juicing anyway so if you pull out due to a confirmed test you might as well pull out of every fight
Do I think it's right? Of course not, but it's reality for these high level fighters.Comment

The answer is no because of the principles. We need to ensure there is a level playing field in a boxing match. So whore that I am, I could be flexible if the powers that be compensated me greatly. Make me an offer I can’t possibly refuse.Comment

I would ask for more money. There's a lot of negotiating power when you have a legit option to pull out and the promoter is forced to cancel the card.Comment

It depends on the situation, If your big fight is a roid cheat i.e. Canelo would you be willing to turn down a 10-20 million dollar payday? I don't really think Whyte is that sort of fight, but If Wilder took his ass to Britain I think he would be earning the most he has ever done for one fight. I can understand why he might not want to fight Whyte, Whyte hasn't helped himself maybe its not the same situation as Canelo because Nelo properly got banned and the fight was put off because of him cheating.
I feel for Rivas, but at the same time what I just said at the start probably applies to him, Whyte was his career high payday and probably would be willing to fight that cheat.Comment

At best you're looking at a marginal performance increase - enough to tip the balance against a similar level guy perhaps but nothing that gonna turn a dude from a journeyman to a P4P elite...
Likely I'd take my chances, but damn if I wouldn't try to squeeze a few extra £s out of it somehow...Comment

Ha. I never thought about this. I bet this played a part in Eddie not telling Rivas of Whyte's positive result cuz Rivas coulda angled him for more money or he would pull out.Comment

But I'd definitely want it to be my choice not some board that suffer no consequences for what decision they make and have no regard for my career or family affected by it.Comment
