As long as he's got a reliable person running the day-to-day operations (while he continues his work as a trainer), this is a good move, frankly.
Tbh, this should be the framework for every established shop. Robert and Mikey Garcia in Oxnard, Head****ers Gym in DC, Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, Freddie Roach's Wild Card in LA, Shields' Plex Gym in Houston, Virgil Hunter in Hayward, Big Bear, etc.
The gym is known as a world-class operation, young fighters will migrate to the name of the facility, and the proprietors of said facility should have a vehicle to guide the fighters that they view as promising that don't already have representation.
