There's a difference between a fluke and a surprise. Ruiz winning was a surprise because the majority were not that familiar with his fighting style, he looked fat and was a massive underdog. Then he thoroughly outclassed AJ. Exposed AJ as a guy that has a pawing inconsequential weak jab, stiff and mechanical, and totally unable to deal with fast combinations. Also AJ laid a hard, clean perfect left hook on Andy and put him down for the first time in his career. Andy gets up totally unshook and comes right back at him. Mexican chin. AJ isn't KOing Ruiz in rematch, so you're looking at a Ruiz stoppage or a decision. You really think AJ is going to outpoint Ruiz over 12 rounds? Only through home town judges in the UK, if Eddie has his way. No fluke, once data comes in, it's time to face reality. Ruiz decision win or KO win.Last edited by Tman500; 07-26-2019, 09:45 AM.Comment

Was comeback George Foreman's body type an insult to the sport when he KOed Moorer and gave body builder body type (and likely PED user) Holyfield all he could handle in one of the greatest heavyweight championship fights in history? You mentioned body builders in regards to athletes with doughy bodies.
I asked if that doughy body type is the norm in body building.
You said they resemble Millers.
I asked again, if that was the norm.
Meh. Andy's body type is an insult to the sport.
I said WE shouldn't anticipate shady scores because they are not the norm. They are only the most talked about.
If you already have it in your mind judges will only be fair on Andy's turf..........Comment

Ruiz caught him when he was opening up. Agree. But Joshua was overwhelmed by fast combos throughout the fight. Totally clueless on establishing a stiff long jab and straight right follow hand to control distance and unable to deal with combos. Jeff Mayweather said a lot of heavyweights cannot deal with fast combos, they can handle the one or two heay punches, but are lost if they are up against fast hands. He said that's what he saw in AJ and that is exactly what I saw so it resonated when he said it. Jeff has seen and trained more boxers than you and I can count. I think he's dead on.Ruiz's "skill" didn't catch Joshua and hurt him. Joshua standing and trading trying to finish Ruiz off is how he was caught. Joshua will show this when he dominates from start to finish in the rematch. You already have your excuses ready to go. "He on roids though"
