Maybe say something nice. You can say for example that while he lost a UD to Ortiz in the first fight, he showed a ton of heart and toughness in an absolute barn-burner FOTY fight. Or you could mention that he avenged that loss with a KO in the rematch...

Berto has more money than any welterweight not named Manny Pacquiao. For being so bad he surely made a ****load of ��.

That's not saying much. Most of the welterweights are with Haymon and for the most part they are not rich. You have way more fighters with more money than them including:
Canelo, Jamie Mungia, David Lemuiex, Rey Vargas, Boo boo Andrade GGG, and many more!

I mean yea, but does it reallllllly matter. His name has value & he's seen his best day. So I think all he's fighting for is to get beat by a bigger name who's coming off of an L for a bigger day or he's still getting paid nicely to build up the next gen guys.

No he's right Berto was a big hype job.

Nobody ever suggested he was a HOF candidate. He was a solid fighter good enough to pick up a title in the alphabet era. He had great connections and was able to earn more than many more talented and accomplished fighters, so he gets a lot of flack, but that doesn't mean he was some kind of bum. In my view, he's been nothing but an honest fighter who gave the best he had and tried to entertain the fans every time out, so I respect that.
