So?? The point is when they asked to examine the gloves they were refused. Why did the opposing camp inform them and not the officials? Why was it up to Hearn to inform the opposing camp that his fighter failed a drug test? This was not handled in a professional manner. Anber should have been summoned by the officials when Whyte put on the substitute gloves. He was informed of the change 1/2 an hour before the fight. Plenty of time to examine the gloves. A slight delay for the start of the fight isn't a big deal. Very unprofessional by the officials and Whyte's camp.Comment

The commission didn't feel the need to tell team Rivas as they had checked the gloves themselves.
Who cares who informed team Rivas about the drug testing? Maybe the commission can't as it's ongoing but the promoter can?Comment

Team Rivas could have asked to see the gloves after the fight to check them. They didn't care to. The reason why they didn't before is down to keeping on schedule and not wasting time with Whyte having to take off his gloves and put them back on again.

The Dan Azeez fight was one of the first on the card, it was over four hours earlier than the main event.
So if time was such an issue, why wait until the last minute to inform the Rivas camp?Comment

MY be one legit corrupt fight posted here. Close decisions and crybaby fans that have absolutely nothing to complain about in fights like Ward vs Kessler? Sour sour sour that is unbelievable you even mentioned that fight.Comment

Hearns and co are being exposed in the light as the dirty slimey habitually lying snake con man we knew he’s always been!
Those with common sense always knew, those who never had it are the ones who are surprised or still making up excuses for this blatant crime!Comment

Whyte already said in post fight press conference someone took his gloves before the fight. If Rivas + his coach had bothered to turn up to it they would already know.
The drug cheat issue is the main thing here. Fight should be made a no contest along with every other fight where someone tested positive after (if it's confirmed of course)Comment

Actually I went and read the UKAD rules after I posted that. The promptor can't tell the opposing camp because the failed athlete's name is to be kept private pending a review. UKAD cleared Whyte to fight. There is another clause that allows an exception when under a provisional suspension. As far as I can tell if an athlete can't participate in an event due to the provisional suspension an exception can be granted allowing him to participate. So was Whyte cleared of being disciplined by UKAD or granted an exception.??
So its not that he has an exception for the Rivas fight, he isn't suspended currently so he could fight tomorrow, he does have an ongoing case with UKAD though, so that will come down with a decision at some point and if found guilty of doping UKAD will publish the results and sanction.
One of the 4 reasons NADP will not impose a provisional suspension is if the violation is likely to have involved a contaminated product, I suspect this is the most likely one they argued.
Completely guessing but I wouldn't be surprised if the argument was something like: he was tested on dates 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5, all were clear but 4 which had trace amounts, with a known half life of the metabolites they could determine how much he could have originally ingested considering the previous clean test. If that amount was more likely due to contamination or if they could pinpoint the product that might be enough to avoid a provisional suspension.
Even if that was the case he could still be sanctioned with the strict liability rules though. It will be interesting to see the results.Comment
