Almost 2 yrs is an eternity in boxing. How quickly did Roy Jones go from the best in the world to mediocre? How good did Cotto look vs that Japanese guy and how bad did he look months later vs Ali? The pernell Whitaker than fought Oscar was less than 2 yrs removed from the version that fought Trinidad, was he the same guy? What about how Chavez went from a destroyer to slowing down significantly by the time he fought Randall? Check what Chavez age was at that time.
