I’m British...
This isn’t about UK vs USA, it’s absolutely pathetic if you ask me.
A lot of the British fans who I would categorise as “Matchroom FC” or “Sky Sports boxing fans” are an extremely bad representation of the genuine British boxing fans on here.
The same way extremist PBC or DAZN fans would be a bad representation of the genuine US boxing fans.
i like you an di like roy jones. but i don't like most of your countrymen. not any more. i certainly used to. they're not honest. other than floyd mayweather, the biggest star in boxing of hte last 10 years in the US wasn't even american. he was a lovable little asian man who fought like a tornado. right now the biggest draw in american boxing is a mexican named canelo. he's a charismatic mexican. speaks almost no english. has charisma that translates like a language into an american audience buying his PPV and DAzn subs. he has power and his style is great on the eyes. he looks like a cartoon. he's not a historic level talent or a low risk fighter, so he constantly challenges himself in terms of matchmaking, but also in terms of how he fights. yeah, a lot of his fans are mexican casual boxing fans, but you bet your ass they're "better fans" than eddie hearn football fanboys. been paying for boxing for a lot longer, have a lot more skin in the game, they operate in a climate where their own president doesn't make them feel good about who they are and they look for pride elsewhere. those are just flat out classier fans than the hearn football fanboys.
no disrepect to you, all the disrepct in teh world to these fanboys. it was good for the boxing discourse that they've mostly left the forum.
in merica we don't give all that much of a **** what color your trunks are. we care if you can fight and if you are compelling outside of the ring. it's a beautiful thing, really. and most of you guys don't get it. you see a british fighter and you go ga ga, and nobody takes you seriously. maybe you do get it, and kudos. but most of your little countrymen watched joshua lose and are off the bandwagonLast edited by New England; 07-25-2019, 12:54 PM.Comment

They should withhold his entire purse what about the people who bet on this fight for rivas. They should get their money back.there isn't a single american news group that would allow a fighter to pop for a drug test on their airwaves and not talk about it.
i've just read that hearn is getting the courts involved trying ot block en****** from releasing information.
you are supposed to be a decent poster and one of the rare bscene brits worth the air he breaths. don't turn heel on me, dog. eddie hearn and the BBBoC want these fights to go through, wantt hese drug tests swept under the rug.
andy ruiz is paving the way. no major titleholder will ever fight in england again. the sport is f#cking ****** over there. if it's not the refs carrying your guy back to his corner it's the BBBoC spiking the cool aid with bull *****

That’s the thing though man, these guys you’re referring to aren’t British boxing fans, they’re not even boxing fans, they’re just casual fans who only consume Sky Sports boxing. It really p*sses me off that these type of fan’s are misrepresenting the UK boxing fans.i like you an di like roy jones. but i don't like most of your countrymen. not any more. i certainly used to. they're not honest. other than floyd mayweather, the biggest star in boxing of hte last 10 years in the US wasn't even american. he was a lovable little asian man who fought like a tornado. right now the biggest draw in american boxing is a mexican named canelo. he's a charismatic mexican. speaks almost no english. has charisma that translates like a language into an american audience buying his PPV and DAzn subs. he has power and his style is great on the eyes. he looks like a cartoon. he's not a historic level talent or a low risk fighter, so he constantly challenges himself in terms of matchmaking, but also in terms of how he fights. yeah, a lot of his fans are mexican casual boxing fans, but you bet your ass they're "better fans" than eddie hearn football fanboys. been paying for boxing for a lot longer, have a lot more skin in the game, they operate in a climate where their own president doesn't make them feel good about who they are and they look for pride elsewhere. those are just flat out classier fans than the hearn football fanboys.

I go to shows all over the world and I’ve met delusional fans from all over the USA, Mexico, UK, Germany etc. There no way you can limit fanboyism to just the UK, I remember the Canelo fans being some of the most delusional I’ve ever met after Canelo-GGG 1, it’s just as bad everywhere IMO. The only thing that makes the UK worse is the tribalism you get from Football fan types, you don’t really get that in the states.Comment
