Caleb Plant's first title defense drew more viewers than his championship victory six months earlier. According to Nielsen Media Research, Plant's third-round knockout of Mike Lee attracted a peak audience of 1,141,000 on Saturday night from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Their scheduled 12-round, 168-pound title bout was broadcast by FOX, just before the FOX Sports Pay-Per-View telecast of the Manny Pacquiao-Keith Thurman card began.

So what did the fight card average? That’s the only number that matters

Sorry folks, PBC on fox should never do less than 2m. FS1 is different, but Fox should be in the 2-4m range. Fox needs to stop making all the big PBC fights ppv and put these big time fights on regular fox like the 2015-2016 version of PBC when folks were tuning in more. I guess fox is happy with ppvs but I just don’t see this current business model as the best it could be. But then again, that first fight with the two heavyweights was boring and that turns off the casuals

The numbers prove it and they ain't afraid to show them.. PBC puts on the best fights,, they're putting out the most material.
Eventually Haymon is gona switch all the way to Fox and abandon Showtime..
Fox is bringing in all the numbers, they are raking in more casual fans bringing them into the sport.

Right?! This card on fox probably averaged 700-800k viewers and was a super competitive main event with elite fighters like mike Lee and Caleb. These 50-50 fights that average less than a million viewers while being available in 130 million homes proved that fans want more of these types of matchups.

Here’s to more fights like Caleb plant vs p4p top 10 fighter Mike Lee!

Now when Haymon puts Caleb Plant in with David Benavidez they tap into the Mexican American audience as well as a Caucasian American audience. Double the numbers

I got to applaud you because that was high-level energy for a little bit of low-level sarcasm. Dog if Plant vs unknown Lee can draw 1.4 milli views then what do u think Plant vs David Benavidez will do? I will tell you casual it will bring in 4 - 5 million views minimum if it's promoted on the Fox Sports Podium
