So the WBO has Joet Gonzalez ranked #1 followed by Magdelano at #2. I could see arum using his who pull to allow Shakur to fight magdelano for the vacant belt. That's not a good title fight in my opinion, neither is Joet Gonzalez. Not that those guys are bad fighters but I'm tired of seeing guys become champ by winning vacant belts. Or being upgraded from interim, regular to super champ. Both are much too common. Let's hope Valdez takes the fight.

Also isn't Josh Warrington now fighting for Top Rank and ESPN as part of the deal Frank Warren made with Top Rank? There was a report a week ago that Stevenson wanted to fight Warrington. Stevenson is also the highest ranked contender with the IBF as well. He has options he can go after his first title shot either with IBF or WBO and both belts right now under control of ESPN.Last edited by bigdunny1; 07-24-2019, 02:03 PM.

Valdez is not fighting Stevenson. He only wants Warrington or Frampton. Frampton doesn't have a belt. His first good mandatory is called and now he's moving up
