Purse bid set for August 2nd if they can't come to an agreement...Obviously that won't be a problem here.

    1. Does Valdez vacate or does he defend his title vs Stevenson?

    2. How does this fight play out? Does Stevenson have enough experience to beat someone like Valdez?

Why on earth would Valdez vacate?

    This is a great fight.

There has been talk of him wanting to go up to 130.

Definitely a very good fight, one that I'd favor the youngster in.

I remember him talking about moving up if no good fights were available. That was a while ago though. Now Frampton's over there and it looks like Stevensons mandatory.

        Can't wait for this one.

I think Valdez moves up and pursue Jamal Herring WBO Strap at 130 instead

If he is struggling to make 126, you do not want to fight a talent like Stevenson drained and struggling to make weight. I think Stevenson picks him apart regardless but fight him at your best! They can always meet at 130 eventually

I think Valdez will move up to 130 before he fights Shakur

Assuming we'll see an article drop in the coming week where Valdez vacates. If the weight cut is truly killing him, then so be it. Hope it doesn't shake out that way, cuz a Valdez/Stevenson matchup would be intriguing.
