im completely agree. its gonna be hard for me and everyone else to watch him go. He has thoroughly changed the way i watch boxing, and there will NEVER be another arturo gatti. Luckily, we all enjoyed the hell out of him while he was around!

This is definetly the most depressing night in my boxing watching life. i just cant accept that gatti lost. i want him to leave on a high note, but i dont think he should fight again. This is why i didnt watch this fight with anyone. I knew if he lost i would be depressed, and damn! i am depressed!!!

gatti has come back from a retiring loss many many times. but i dont think its a question of whether or not he CAN come back, i dont think he SHOULD come back. make no mistake, i would love to see gatti in the ring again. but i think enough is enough.

arturo, you have nothing left to prove, plz, im begging you: walk away while you can still walk.

i agree 100%. The Mayweather beating may have contributed to Arturo not taking punches as well as he use to.

Gatti did not loss because he washed up, its because Baldomir could take his punch like he did against Judah.

Arturo Gatti has always been one of my faves, but he needs to hang them up. He really didn't seem like the old Gatti, just a shell of his former self. Gatti has never been mistaken for his buddy Pernell Whitaker, but damn, he was getting tagged. When he went to the canvas for the second time, it was all over. Gatti cannot come back from this one, I hope he just retires and enjoys the rest of his life in good health.

What I worry is that he won't stay retired. I thought he should've retired after Mayweather, but hes stubborn and continued on. Hes a guy who loves the crowds cheers and the spotlight, and if he doesn't get his boxing fix, hes gonna look for trouble outside the ropes. In reality, he doesn't have anything to do other than fighting to keep him occuppied, so you really gotta wonder.

I think his deterioration has to do with him fighting bigger men, all the hard fights and his advanced age. Lets remember, hes no spring chicken. I've been following boxing my whole life, and I have never seen any fighter in as many brutal wars as Gatti. I'm really racking my brain, not Saad Muhammad or Basilio or Giardello. Gatti has had a significant toll taken on his body from all of his ring escapades. I saw him last year in Hoboken at DePalma's Pizzeria on Washington St., and you could see the damage. The mans eyes are *****ier than mine from all of the scar tissue from his fights. You could just see it in his face that he was nearing the end.

If he wants maybe fight one more fight at 140..vs a scrub to retire iwth a win...

or fight like hatton or cotto then retire at 140
