Why doesn’t Mayweather just fight Pacquiao again?

It’s just one fight. He’d make probably his second highest purse ever, it’d probably be one of the five biggest PPV fights of all time, he’d be fighting someone his age and if he won, he’d prove he’s still one of the best p4p fighters alive, even after being retired for so long.

I don’t see any reason for it not to happen.

Because he can't even look good against an MMA fighter in his 50th fight?

I guess people would pay to see a rematch, but as Paul McCartney said in the 1970s about the Beatles, "you can't reheat a soufflé."

        You can, of course, but.

Because he’s approaching mid 40’s and he’s a retired fighter.

Floyd must be the only fighter who is so old, yet people are wanting him to come back. People are so desperate for him to lose that they still expect him to come out of retirement in his 40’s.

When there was talk of Wlad coming back, everyone said he needs to stay retired at that age. Even people were commending Groves for retiring at age 30 because he made his money and got out.

          Different rule for Floyd though.

Let the man enjoy his retirement. He’s old enough to be the father of a lot of active fighters. He’s nearly 43 or something.

Pacquaio’s old too and there’s lots of money to be made.

So I don’t get why he doesn’t want to do it.

Pacquiao has been far more active than Floyd. Pacquiao is younger than Floyd. Floyd have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

Yes, he makes the one night pay day, but if he loses, the eternal value of his brand is ruined. If he never fights again, he likely goes down as one of the absolute best of all time and his 50-0 mark will remain legendary until the end of time. He makes so much money from rich people wanting to hang out with him, fighting private exhibitions, etc. A lot of that dries up if he loses his 0.

Sometimes you have to know when to take your chips and walk away. He pushed his luck over and over and over. It's time for him to move on.

If the money is high enough he will come back I believe. Do you guys really want to pay Mayweather another 500 million to beat a guy he already beat. Remind you that Mayweather always performs better in rematches

this question has been around and no one can answer it.

it is such easy work for the woman beater *floyd. there's so much money to be made. and he still wants none of it

it's so simple: take the easy fight, take the money, go home. what's so hard?

the woman beater *floyd is possibly cycling as well which may be a reason for all the delay. the woman beater *floyd said he was going to fight him while both were in Japan. Guess his cycle of steroids weren't ready.
