Is Mayweather Jr. still relevant in boxing today?

Are people still interested in Floyd being in the mix of the sport of boxing nowadays? He is retired, and has no expressed intention of returning to the sport. What do you think?

I think this thread and the number of others mentioning him since Manny won suggest fans still want to see him fight, some with hopes of seeing him lose, some just to appreciate his talent given the dearth of it among the active prime fighters in the sport currently.

Clearly is still relevant considering he gets brought up constantly, I don't even like May but you can't deny his skill so he will be relevant + compared to for years to come.

Watch the McGregor fight, Mayweather is beyond past his prime and that fight itself should let you know we need to stop talking about him returning to the ring.

You act like Floyd was trying to box. He literally walked conor down.

I've seen him walk down plenty of guys throughout his career and he did so far more defensively responsible, I don't care how much of a light hitter McGregor was, Floyd wasn't suppose to get hit with half of that stuff. We shouldn't be entertaining any sort of return

Yeah, I suppose Floyd let Conor hit him for entertainment I suppose. But I am for Floyd not returning at all in boxing.
