wow i didn't even know that but to be fair if he is back on that ariza shake i would of expected his ko power to miraculously returned again and got thurman out of there.

Let's not forget that Manny fought and beat Marquez at the weight that Marquez dominated. He didn't make Marquez come up 2 weights for a fight.
or like bringing delahoya down to 147 a weight he never fought in years (vs mayweather 154) or cotto at 145 (i remember roach specifically stressing on draining him) vs mayweather 154.
but go ahead with your selective memory

This myth that Floyd wiped the floor with Manny and schooled him has got to stop. Did Floyd win, yes, but he won by the most cautious boring way possible. He won the way the Olympic amateur system used to score wins. He won by being extremely defensive and doing as little as possible. He knew he would get a hometown win based on his defense alone. The fight was a snoozer and neither Manny or Floyd should be bragging about their performances in that fight. If anything the fans and the press should ignore it since both fighters under-performed in the biggest fight since Oscar/Trinidad.

Mayweather -Pacquiao in 2019 or 2020 would be only for prestige.

2015 fight was the real; for the best welterweight fighter. For all the belts except IBF. For lineal championship.

Rematch has no sense. Winner would still have to beat some of other guys to prove he is real N. 1.

The article thinks it can fool people.
Pac s best of era. Everyone knows that. It's a case of where you place Pac all time. And how far behind Floyd is to pac. Pac s 8 wins over jmm, bradley, barrera, morales alone equates to The worthwhile part of flouds entire resume. Pac s additional wins over cotto, dlh, hatton and now thurman don't even need to be bought into play. Pacs resume just too strong in depth. His win over thurman is better than anything on floyds resume historically. No WW in history has done it. Not sugar day Robinson or leanard. Certainly no flyweight with 71 fights

I am forever a Pac fan but there's not way anyone can disagree if they're being fair and objective. Even Freddy Roach has said when it's all said and done you'd have to give the era to Mayweather just because he walked away with the victory all other comparisons aside. That's why he wants that rematch so badly. Be fun to see it again for sure. This just goes to show how dominant those two were for their days the fact that one of them is clearing out the new generation and champions.

Oh there is many ways to disagree man.

I don't rank Leonard and Hearns over Duran despite the fact that they both beat him (Leonard 2-1 and Hearns destroyed Duran).

                WHY?

Same reasons for Manny and Floyd, Duran took more risks, achieved more, and was a smaller man with a smaller frame coming from lower weight.

I have no problem with some people thinking they are the same size, that Manny was a full fledged WW when he fought Floyd.
                I don't think so.

Pacquiao is greater in my book despite that I thought he lost to Floyd and that he overall lost to Marquez.

That's what happens when you fight ATG your own size or bigger than yourself (Floyd could take note).

Thurman fought more valiantly than Floyd. Thurman actually traded with Pacquiao to try to win the fight. If the the Floyd vs Pacquiao fight would have been that exciting people wouldn’t have been upset of their boring fight. Floyd even says on YouTube that his plan was to punch and grab Pacquiao as he was coming. Their is no doubt he Floyd did this. At least Thurman had the balls to give people their money’s worth. BTW VADA testing was done for this fight. Please look that up too.

                      But Pac is greater.
Anyone can go 50-0. A guy in Thailand or somewhere is 52-0. It all depends on promoters and management but to climb 8 divisions and win championships is unheard of.
Pacquiao even skipped a couple of divisions in the lighter weights. Their is no doubt to me who has made a greater accomplishment in boxing and in life.
