Best Boxing Story of the Year: Pac over Thurman or Ruiz over Joshua?

I've been rather disappointed in the first half of the year tbh. However, I did quite enjoy both of these fights and the stories that surrounded them. The great Pac proving he's as legendary as they come by beating a legit 30-year-old unbeaten Thurman for the title and becoming the oldest man to do so at welter. But then, Ruiz coming out of nowhere to smash the unbeaten Joshua blew me away, too. It's hard to pick, but I think I'll go with Pac. He's earned it. He's earned everything in boxing honestly. But if you go the other way, I totally understand.

Pac stood a chance vs 1X. Andy was a significant under dog.

I'll go with Pac beating Thurman.

Sure Ruiz upsetting Joshua was excellent, but to me Joshua was always overhyped and many of his "KO" wins were hometown ref early stoppages.

A 40 year old Manny beating a decade younger champ is proof that he is absolutely worth his praise.

Ruiz to me. The fact that a year ago he was thinking of quitting boxing, not able to get any fights with Top Rank, and just going from that to being heavyweight champion of the world is just astonishing. Had a tund up and then BOOM!

Pacquiao over Thurman was very slight surprising for AJ was too me an overhyped champ with a glass jaw. Whyte dropped him Klitschko did. Povetkin was giving him a hell of a fight I knew wilder would ko him. Ruiz I figured with his volume punching would give him fits figured it'd be a split decision win for AJ instead of the massive beating. Pacquiao on the other hand people were saying couldn't beat anyone relevant at 147 I been saying pacquiao is the 2nd or 3rd best at welterweight behind Spence for sure then maybe Crawford. Pacquiao beats the Thurman's Garcia's and porters of the division

Ruiz vs Joshua and its not even close. That upset made its way around the world.

Ill always remember where i was and how shocked as i was as i watched it live.

Pacs Saturday fight was just another day. Didnt even care to watch grandpa get in the ring. Didnt tune in.

Snickers Man making history as first Mexican heavyweight champ of the world!

While being an 40-1 underdog or more was an unreal epic moment! Unforgettable

He not only won but pure wipeout!

40 year old Manny beating a undefeated prime bigger stronger career welterweight champ who’s a top 5 in his division while past his own prime with 2 decades of mileage is simply marvelously unbelievable! Also unforgettable!

Fights of the year top 5 so far

                1. Joshua vs Ruiz jr

                3. Hurd vs J rock

                4. Jamal James vs Antonio DeMarco
