My thought's in the Pac Thurman fight

-I've NEVER seen a so-called elite fighter get hit to the body and immediately freeze up the way that Thurman did. The ref looked confused. Hell, Pacquiao did too!! Pac would have finished him right there, but I think he held back coz of pity. I heard Thurman busted his ribs from that shot.

-That fight reminded me of Rocky vs Clubber Lang/Tommy Gun. Pac is a real life Rocky. 100% old school hard core.. Old veteran beating up on younger hungry LOUD opponents who want to put him in to retirement. How could anyone not respect someone like that? That fight was a real life Hollywood script. Hell of a fight.

-Thurman was a great fighter he just lost to a better man.

-Manny stood there and looked straight into Keith's soul before they touched gloves, didn't even blink, on the other hand Thurman ... looked like he felt the force, had to look at the ref a couple times. Keith knew he was gonna have to dig deep. Pac was the real deal.

-Thurman after all said and done was a classy dude for admitting defeat. Hats of to Thurman for owning up.

-Thurman has good experience fighting elite fighters over the other welterweights having fought Garcia, Porter and now Manny. He also has faced adversity many times which the other fighters haven't and overcome it. Thurman should fight Broner and could easily get a fight with the winner of Porter/Spence for two belts or potentially fight the winner of say Manny vs either the Porter/Spence winner for 3 belts or even fight perhaps Jessie Vargas at 154 for the WBO belt if he beats say Munguia. I think Thurman should work on his weaknesses in the meantime, such as improving his resistance to body shots, stamina, and more explosive punching. I hope even though he isn't likely fighting this year that he still works on things at the gym.

Accurate analysis. And as usual fact driven. This wasn't an exhibition of ring generalship and defense, this was a fighting legend taking the fight to the younger champion and fighting for the win. And once again as per usual there was a knockdown and the crowd was excited through out the fight.
Sorry to say this my friend but it's time to hang it up. Manny won clearly but I saw some things. He took too many big shots and he was tired in the 2nd half like I've never seen him before. He had to dig deep to compete in the 2nd half and did so because of his deep deep faith. No reason to continue because another fight with a victory will just be a repeat of the reaction to this fight and add no more to the great legacy. The point was proven on Saturday so that should do it. I think he might get old 8 months from now and where the legs and magic calves are gone. It's going to happen eventually so lets just go out on top now.

Yeah, I get your point. I to want him to hang it up, but Manny is turning into Duran. He will only quit if he loses in a big lopsided way. I don’t want him to fight anymore to prove anything at this point. He has done above and beyond the call of duty. The thing is we can’t stop Manny he is his own man. If he continuous to fight and looks like he will. I’m for a hard fight granted I pray that he is protected from permanent injuries. There is no point in fighting if he ain’t there to fight the best out there. So if he does continue. I want him to fight Spence. Win lose or draw. That will still add flavour to his already stellar career.

What he proved today. He is a 40 year old boxer that still can. But he is now a vulnerable fighter coz of his age. He still have the legs. What slowed him down is Keith also landed body shots on him. That fight was Titans fighting. I said it before the fight. This was a 50/50 fight, and it was! The fight was exciting from start to finish. They were both trading blows and it felt like anyone who gets the last 3 rounds will win. That to me is what boxing is about. Epic battles that will always be remembered.

      Cheers!

Thurman's tactics surprised me, I expected him to use his range and mobility rather than stand and trade.

Great fight though, big cong**** to Manny doing it for us old boys.

This would be a great way to go out but I think he'll fight on.

Pac should retire now as best of era and being oldest ww champ ever.
No.point in.beating spence there will just be excuses from Floyd fans saying nel o win with Cw and nel o being green is better than a Pac s win over thurman and spence.

Yeah he should but I just read in an article. Pac ain't done yet. Even if you want him to stop he won't. So I guess we just have to ride it through until he realizes it's not good for him anymore.

Oh, and don't be affected by those Floyd fan girls. Those are insecure pompom shakers. They know Pac is ahead and Floyd can't catch up since he hasn't been fighting as a pro for 4 years now. Floyd can't come back even if he wanted to.. Too much rust has corroded his skills. At this point Floyd is eating dust and Manny is watching on his rear view mirror.

Saw a video, Manny said, how can I fight Floyd again? Floyd's a fan of me. He was cheering for me in my fight with Thurman"

At this point there is nothing more to prove. If he continues to fight on, these are all icing in his cake. Let's just enjoy the ride. It could be bumpy, but Pac's legacy has been already set in stone anyway.

            Cheers!

Pac was creating traps by luring Thurman in. Thurman took the bait. That's why he got fuvked.
