Teofimo Sr possibly hinder his son's career?

Does anyone feel Lopez Sr is going to hinder Lopez's career? I think it was somewhere between round 2-4 that his father was saying 'this guy is done' (referring to the Japanese fighter.)

Japanese dude was clearly not done, and never looked in trouble. That was straight out bad advice. He seemed really eager for Lopez to get the KO.

The broadcast mentioned how Lopez has been going through stress. I understand he has the issues going on with his mother/sister and now wife.

But disregarding that, I feel Lopez would have a hard time disagreeing with his father or telling him no. I can see Lopez wanting to train with someone else and his father not taking it well. Maybe its possible he already wants to take his career elsewhere?

Bad advice is not going to help when he eventually steps up with tough competition

His father can only take him this far
Still young and a great time to have changing of the guards
Can see him benefitting from a Buddy McGirt
I think Robert Garcia would bring something special out of him imo

          - -R Garcia the perfect fit but for Mikey.

Garcia fighters spar each other and no way Robert wants Mikey sparring such a beast.

            Funny you say that .
When a buddy of mine asked me " who's this Teofimo guy " ?
I told him he was still young . But he has a Lavar/ Lonzo type situation where there's Alot of Big Talk coming outta the ol man's mouth . That the kids gonna have to back up .

Interesting enough, and I guess a coincidence... but I just saw that thread regarding Teofimo's tweet hinting about moving on from something he's not happy with? Hmmm who knows.
