You're right, but I give Manny a really good chance to upset Spence, and enhance his legacy that much more. He doesn't have anything to prove, but if he beat a young, and in his prime bull like Spence, best of this generation, no debate.

That’s fair enough, I completely disagree on the outcome of the fight and as a huge Pacquiao fan I’d be uncomfortably watching it through my fingers.

If he beat Spence, forget best of this generation, you could make a reasonable case he’s the greatest of all time. Certainly top 3 if he pulled that off at 41 years old. I just don’t see it though man, I could see it ending really bad...

They really have to find a good excuse when Manny beats Spence.

A good excuse would probably be Porter wore him down.

Btw: Spence doesn't get credit over win from Manny.

Manny is the damn underdog in that fight unlike when Manny got the credit from Dela Hoya because Manny was a massive underdog and got that torch passed to him.

Find me a fight where Spence will be the underdog and he wins it. That's the fight where he can be legendary. All I know is Spence vs Canelo.

I think Manny would go on I guess. I just saw him wearing a shirt in the post fight with a glittering letters of "Fight On" and there was no sign whatsoever that he wanted to finally bring the curtain down.

Mikey Garcia in an interview after the fight, said, he personally asked Manny "Why still go on? What is there to accomplish, you've done it all Manny?" Manny simply answered him: for the Legacy, he wanted to add more.

Going by this, I think he is going straight to the winner of Porter vs. Spence. He would not bother with the Amir Khan's or Andy Garcia's because those guys don't have major belts, those guys no longer increase his legacy. Maybe those lower tier guys can get it after Spence as a farewell fight in his hometown.

I think he went to PBC knowing that him and Spence would eventually meet, if not sooner then later. He always knew just like Roger Federer once said against the rude reporter that he didn't join the French Open to avoid Rafael Nadal.--Pacquiao knew exactly that their path would eventually cross.

As for Crawford, it's bad luck for him because he's out of reach at the moment, he had his chance though, but, Arum didn't want to invest for him against Pacquiao. He had Pacquiao's head right there and then.--that was such an opportunity loss to increase his value and legacy.

Well said. Pac didn't go back in the fray to be a journey man. He was there for the real competition.

That said, Roach said that too, but I listened to one of Roach post fight interviews. Pac was in a war with Thurman and took too many blows. Roach said, might have to reevaluate if Pac should still continue or just retire with the Thurman win.

But knowing Manny. No one can stop him if he still wants to fight on. Not even Roach can stop him. For me he should stop. He has done so much for boxing. But something tells me he will fight Spence guns blazing as his last hurrah. Win, lose or draw.

I’d just be really worried when he eventually tires, his level visibly slowed against Thurman after around 5 rounds, and he took some clean shots from Thurman. I genuinely dread to think what damage Spence could do in those last 6 rounds. Manny is a tough warrior and would attempt to endure it also.

Just out of interest, how do you think Pacquiao beats Spence? Outboxes him on the back foot or forces him backwards the way he did to Thurman several times?
