I think they still want to make Valdez vs Frampton. Stevenson is more deserving of good fights than limited Lopez though....

Warrington is also the champ at top rank.

And if arum wants to control another belt at 130 what’s the problem?

It’s the same as Jermall charlo and Jarrett Hurd. Jermall didn’t fight Hurd. Instead Haymon had him up and Position him to go for the wbc middleweight belt and had Hurd fight Harrison for the vacant IBF 154. Haymon wanted to keep both Charlo and Hurd undefeated. No difference between that and Shakur and Valdez.

Bad comparison. Charlo was talking about moving up even before the JRock fight and the only reason he stuck around was because JRock's team were talking a lot of smack. This wasn't to keep two fighters undefeated or anything. Charlo simply put couldn't make weight any longer.

As for Shakur, he may be ready for a title shot but Ward wants him to get another fight or two against solid competition. If Valdez is still at 126 when that happens, then the fight should happen. But if Arum chooses to go with Valdez vs Warrington or Valdez vs Frampton, that's fine as well.

When did Warrington sign with Top Rank? TR & Warren have a deal to broadcast Warren's fights in the US.

I can tolerate Valdez-Warrington unification. But I wouldn't like up see Frampton get another shot over Stevenson

How about Stevenson vs Frampton? Or would Frampton not take that fight unless it is for the title?
