Five WW fights on PPV, no unifications

That’s right everyone, there have been five welterweight fights headlining PPVs so far this year. Not a single fight has been a unification.

Boxing promoters are laughing at how ****** we are.

Don't worry, you will get your unification bout in September.

So only unification bouts should be on PPV? Pacquiao vs Thurman didn't need to be a unification bout to be PPV worthy.

In fact, that fight with Pacquiao's name and stature is more PPV worthy than Spence vs Porter, even though the latter is a unification bout.

I have absolutely no complaints about the WW division, there’s been lots of compelling matchups at 147 this year.

I think slowly we would get the unification fights, but to be honest there is too much politics for it to happen without too much issues.

The one unification is one of the fights that isn't PPV worthy

Right, pretty much all the big names are fighting each other in that division. You don't need the fight to be a unification bout for it to be quality.

Pacquiao vs Thurman was PPV worthy and the fight delivered.

ABC belts don’t matter to me at all tbh, they’re nothing more than a marketing tool for the casual fan.
All I ever want to see is the best fighting the best.

Right, to think only unification bouts are PPV worthy is laughable.

If we also end up getting Garcia vs Garcia, then pretty much the top 6 of PBC WWs would have been fighting each other. If you want to put Ugas in that category, you can, and he already fought Porter earlier this year.

Yeah PBC have given us some excellent matchups at Welterweight this year, I have no complaints whatsoever.

It could be worse bro, imagine having to pay to see Whyte-Rivas
