Comments Thread For: Luis Nery: I Showed That I Can Make Adjustments

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - The opening pay-per-view bout saw undefeated former champion Luis Nery (30-0, 24 KOs) deliver a ninth-round knockout of former bantamweight champion Juan Carlos Payano (21-3, 9 KOs). "I wasn't really paying attention to how long the fight was going, I was just getting into a rhythm as it went on," said Nery. "I had to work hard to get to him because he's a good boxer. The longer it went, the better I felt. I put my punches together well once I got going."

      I agree .
I wonder why he hasn't moved up to 122 ? Good fighters there holding titles with Rey Vargas , Danny Roman and Navarette .
They're fights that I'd give Nery a chance to win .

Nery showed alot to me or proved to me what already seemed to be. He can adjust but his pressure eventually gets to his opponent. He can eat punches, does a good job of rolling with them but still leaves himself open way more than he needs to. Tough SOB to say the least. Imagine the power he can have if learns to turn his punches over. A lot of slap or wrist punching going on although affective. Great vision and smart in the ring! (Shout out to Nery) " Keep trying to improve your game, never be complacent, you're on that (something speacial) path"! Props Pantera!

Nery did well but don't get ahead of yourselves. Inoue destroys him.

Nery is 30-0, 24 KOs, with a great style yet he´s still not well known.

I won't lie, the drug thing pissed me off a little bit. I think Nery could hang in there with Inoue for a while but he'd get destroyed.
