No, Manny wanted the KO. The only time he let someone keep fighting was MArgarito. He was tired and thats when Thurman was able to do his best work. Manny is 40 and it showed at the end of the fight

I personally don't think Pac had enough energy in him to truly stop Keith in that moment. I mean he gave a little chase but he looked sluggish trying. It's mostly father time that got Pac looking slower in the later rounds.
