You seem upset. Lomachenko said he had no interest in fighting Pacquiao at 140 lbs when they were both with Top Rank.

    That's just a fact.

The crazy thing is Loma is an inch taller than Manny and they pretty much walk around at 145 pounds.

You might not like Loma. But thinking Loma would duck Pac would be the words of a little boy irritated....

        Man up a little, son.

Lomachenko on Rejecting Pacquiao: He's Old, I Think He's Done
Vasiliy Lomachenko, the pound-for-pound star and WBA lightweight world champion will look to unify world titles for the first time Saturday when he takes on WBO champ Jose Pedraza. Three-division world champion Lomachenko is returning to the ring for the first time since climbing off the canvas to stop Venezuela's Jorge Linares on May 12.

All thr commentors think Loma is being humble as well as myself. Lomachenko didn't even ask for this fight. Bob did.

Keep in mind this was in 2016 when he was fighting at 130lbs.

When asked about 140 he said no. 140 is not my weight.

                ??????????
Yeah I think it just comes down to if you believe Lomachenko. If not, why would somebody call him a liar ? Truth is, there are a few fans who dislike Loma and spread negative propaganda.

From those videos, it seems to me he is saying that he prefers carving his own path to fame verses capitalizing on the fame of Manny Pacquiao. He feels that Manny is past his prime and the fight would be more hype than "part of his personal vision". At least that's how I understood it.

People have a right to disagree with his perspective or call him a diva, but he also has a right to his own perspective and vison. People can accuse him of being full of crap as well, but I don't see how that is really fair. I personally think it would be a great fight, but it's far off the path that Lomachenko is on. His sights are set on unifying the LW Division, and I don't see how he can be knocked for that.
There's only been 6 or so, unified champions in the last 20 years. I support any boxer going after that achievement.

There's a lot of trash- talk amongst fight fans. It's just the nature of the beast and the way this forum is. It's generally uncommon to expect objectivity and good will.

Loma doesnt weigh more than 138. thats his weight in between fights. if he would take brakes from training, may be he would be around that, but man been doing 2-3 trainings per day for past 20+ years, taking brakes only when he is injured

Hate to fill your eyes with tears, again, Safe Spaces. But the facts need to be laid out.

Lomachenko is pushing his limits fighting at 135. He should still be fighting at 126 or 130, but due to his insane talent and the dearth of opposition he's cutting his legacy at Lightweight. That isn't to say he cannot fight at 140, but he shouldn't rush into the division prematurely.

Pacquiao, conversely, was considered low-hanging fruit. A cheap opportunity for Lomachenko to pad his legacy with a big name opponent in a risk-free fight. It was considered in bad taste to even suggest the pairing. Probably it still is. Yes. You read that right. Go ahead and read the sentence a few more times and let it sink in. Pacquiao at Jr. Ww is not a fight that Lomachenko needs. Some would even say in poor taste to make.

I get it. You popped a stiffy watching him batter Thurman - before gassing out. But who da fook is fruity Keith Thurman? One of a dozen dudes Mayweather dodged during his career as the invisible man? A guy who edged out Danny Garcia? Pac struggled with steam at 147... what does he have left in the tank after sweating down to 140?

If you think Lomachenko is ducking Manny Pacquiao... You're a fool...

You sound like a moron. He's the best fighter on the planet for a reason. People are afraid to fight him. Man up, son.
