  • How was Marquez able to drop and stop Pacquiao?

Pacquiao took flush shots from heavy-handed guys like Thurman, Rios, Margarito, Mosley, Oscar, etc and has never come close to ever going down. He actually has a legendary chin.

Yet little 40year old Marquez who couldn't stop guys like Alvarado, Juarez, Fartchenko, etc was able to knock Manny Pacquiao down, and later put him unconscious with single shots. Why?

I've always found this scene bizarre.

        Memo + talent + PEDS = KO

Memo = gave Marion Jones multiple gold medals and lost it all coz she got caught.

        HONORABLE MENTION ROID RAGE HELPS.

The punches you don't see hurt the most. Pacquiao wasn't in a position to brace for impact on the punches JMM caught him with.

Marquez caught Pacquiao with the perfect shot at the perfect time.

              Timing.

It's the same way Fury got KD against Wilder. Just a little out of position and theres enough momentum to push them over.

That exchange in the gif was a sequence they replayed over and over in different scenarios. That time pac just had his feet too narrow and was standing too high.

I have a theory. Pac was probably abusing Toradol - which blocks pain receptors. Pac has a history of blocking punches with his face.

well....Eventually his body/mind shut down in dramatic fashion. that's why he was laid out on the brink of death when he got caught flush.

Toradol is too dangerous for boxing.

Timing, and Pacquiao being over aggressive and looking for the knockout.

He had Marquez in real trouble and was likely to get a KO himself in the next couple of rounds.

Pacquiao jumped in and Marquez timed it right.

He had fought Pacquiao 3 times before, all helping that timing, and he worked on that punch all his training camp.

Lets not forget he started working with Memo the PED master, put on huge muscle mass and got acne on his chest

Yeah, the first KD is the su****ious one as Pacquiao sees it coming, got his guard up and it still drops him.
