        Skills pay the bills.

200+ fights in the amateurs including beating Ruiz Jr and Pulev.

        I'd say he's adequately skilled.

The fact that Whyte only had 7 amateur fights means you have to give Whyte his respect.

Fact is with all the hype about Rivas he is very very limited.
            He is Carlos Takam limited.
With the 0 gone get ready to see more losses as he continues to face still competition.
Rivas isn't limited - after he got caught in 2nd round - he got cautious. That's why power is so important in boxing. You only look good when your opponent is bad.

Wilder looked like a novice against Fury at times for the same reason. But he's actually not a bad boxer if look deeper

Seriously I predict Wilder wins that fight but Whyte has a chance - that's why Wilder has been running from it. You don't run from easy fights.

I rate Wilder as no. 1 but FFS! step up and take some fights. Wilder has had 40+ fights. Whyte has had 26? and Whyte had almost no amateur career. Deontay won bronze in the Olympics. What excuse has he got?

Based on what? Ortiz's win over Jennings or his win over David Allen?

Ortiz turned down a fight with Whyte in July 2018 saying he wasn't ready and then fought someone else on the same date. Then he said outright he would go to the UK and fight Whyte in Dec 2018. Then a couple of months later Ortiz said his manager wouldn't let him fight in the UK. You seen what lies the Ortiz team tell - after what happened with the Joshua fight. When they got exposed...

Whyte shouldn't need to fight Ortiz for a shot. Breazeale and Ortiz both got a shot for fighting nobodies.

You dont know the story behind it: Eddie Hearn initially wanted Deontay to run a gauntlet in the UK in order for Wilder to 'earn' a shot at a undefeated Joshua : Edward proposed Whyte and even had Chisora in mind ( lol ), any other champion would of felt disrespected that he had to sign with Matchroom, then fight a mini tournament.

Second point, Wilder is the champion you dont chase contenders, contenders need to put in their work and earn a shot. The 'Bronze-Bomber' has been fighting Luis Ortiz, and Tyson Fury in the last year since Whyte has been crying -- No one believes that Deontay is ducking this bum.
