He blows so hot and cold. Sometimes he puts on a heroic performance and sometimes he doesn't prepare and stinks the place out. This was one of his bad nights, although I think that had more to do with Price being more skilled and better prepared than anything else. Even at his best Allen is very limited and Price does have that Olympic pedigree and a huge size advantage.
