PPV Tonight Buy $79.99 vs Streaming Free

In the age of any sport being extremely accessible, who will be buying the fight tonight and who will be streaming???

I had a huge debate with a friend that believes the PPV model although declining is not dead.

I'll be buying it. And doing a scorecard on it. Both guys have provided enough quality boxing moments that I think it's worth the investment. Illegal streams don't have the quality and too many ads that even my three blockers can't overcome easily. Too many interruptions. You could miss critical moments.

What if we see something shocking like Roach throw the towel? That would break NSB and the internet. Spoon and others would go into shock.

What if Thurman takes a knee like Cotto did?

What if Manny gets sparked cold?

What if Manny gets straight up embarrassed worse than he did against Floyd?

There are too many viable outcomes to not pay for that stability.

It’s not dead but definitely declining, especially with the ease of the Internet these days. I would never pay for a PPV show again. Nothing to do with content, just that I can watch it for fre. You

There are two separate PPVs in the UK tonight and I won't be buying either of them. Going by TBRB rankings, the Sky Sports/Matchroom PPV is headlined by the #5 vs an unranked opponent while the ITV/PBC show is headlined by #4 vs #5. I'll keep my money in my pocket until they start serving up match-ups involving fighters ranked in the top 3 facing each other

If you don't think Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman are in the Top 3 (regardless of whatever ranking org you're looking at says), you're nuts.

Don't you dare go off about Spence or Crawford, because their resumes are JOKES compared to Manny and Thurman's resumes.

Bring a flak jacket. Because one of the races is likely to pull a gun out depending on how this ends.

Pac is an old man and Thurman is coming off a bad injury and long stretch of inactivity. Spence and Crawford would be clear favourites over either of them

                  "Eye test".

I'm sure Spence would give a good showing. Crawford? I acknowledge he would likely low blow both guys to get a stoppage, so yeah. Other than that? Pure speculation.

Lol this sport is doomed. We have some of the most complaining whining fans. Everything is not going to be free. You have a option either watch it or don’t watch it but those who try to convince others not to watch it because it isn’t “free” are not fans of the sport. You’re paying 79.99 that’s cheaper than the cost of high speed internet you need for DAZN or any streaming. It cost about 90-100$ a month for DAZN if you’re including high speed internet and NO not all boxing fans have internet especially the older ones.
