It's not a big deal. Ruiz was just the better fighter that night and I don't believe the glaring limitations we saw in the Ruiz fight can be fixed in a couple of months. We actually might have seen them sooner if Klitschko or Povetkin was a little younger, if Takam was allowed to fight past the eleventh round and if Parker was allowed to engage. Didn't Joshua do the same thing in the Parker fight? Turned his back on the referee in the middle of an exchange to fix the tape on his boxing glove? If the referee is fair in the rematch, wherever it is, Ruiz will be allowed to repeat what he did in the first fight: jump in with fast fluid combinations, back Joshua up and wait for Joshua to commit his punches before countering.
