Pacquiao VS Thurman: A Technical Summary (Breakdown Video)

Always good to weigh all the factors when it's a 50-50 type fight.

Thurman basically tries to run away when he is hit hard enough, obviously that's a terrible response and makes one wonder about his brain function when impacted. If Manny can capitalise on that he will win, if he can't then Thurman will win.

Sorry, I forgot, what matters here is hate, gossip, nationalism, race and image, let's not be distracted by looking at the actual performance of boxers in the ring.

He doesn’t move just because he’s been hit hard lol. Thurman follows the roy jones plan. Try to kill someone early and if you don’t succeed step back and prepare for 12 rounds.

I think you're both right. Movement is a key part of Thurman's gameplan after getting a fighter's respect and trying to walk them into punches, but when he's hurt, it becomes a panicky type of running. Even if he's not hurt bad it leaves a bad impression scoring-wise. His survival skills need improvement. As Roach said watching the Lopez fight "our counter-puncher lost his counter". Can't afford to have too many moments like that against Pac.

Packy is quick to take advantage of anyone going backwards, if the backwarder is not defending then Packy is your man.
