Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Purposely Avoided Watching Thurman-Lopez Fight

LAS VEGAS Manny Pacquiao has watched some footage of Keith Thurman while preparing to fight him Saturday night. One fight Pacquiao purposely didn't review was Thurman's most recent performance. Pacquiao has been told what happened to Thurman during the seventh round of his comeback bout against Keith Thurman, but he avoided taking a look at it because he didn't want to grow overconfident.

"Keith Thurman is a great champion, who has fought through adversity and diverse characters. He’s fought multiple southpaws throughout his career. He’s fought several undefeated fighters throughout his career. You know, at the end of the day, I unified two world titles".

Manny praises his opponent before knocking him out!

that's it how should be. you hyped your opponent up so when the win comes, it will mean much more. not sure why thurman is dissing manny, thurman should be hyping pac up as the best since thurman is planning on retiring manny.

It's interesting when you think about which fighters watch tape themselves, and which let their trainers do it.

Only the most egocentric people speak in third person. Mayweather did but he's Mayweather. Thurman is a second rate WW who came up at the right time. He, Garcia and Porter can each beat each other on any night. None of them will ever be Manny.

Pacquiao never watches boxing. Once in a blue moon maybe. He doesn’t watch any replay of his fights, no interest. He only trains boxing when he has a scheduled fight, the rest of the time he plays basketball for hours everyday.

There's no way he didn't rewatch as Floyd picked on him for eight rounds.
