Floyd Mayweather vs. The Overrated Bum Julio Cesar Chavez

Chavez had his best wins under 140. The Taylor fight was a classic. He had a lot of bums on his record but he had a lot of solid and top fighters.

Unfortunately for him he quit 3 to 4 times in the ring refusing to come out to the next round.

Still one of the top fighters from Mexico but not all his career was great.

One thing for sure is that he was an very active fighter. For a while he was carrying the sport after Tyson went to jail.

I love how people bring up Chavez's 89-0 record like it's better than Mayweathers 50-0, as if most of Chavez's wins didn't come from fighting road sweepers and janitors.

Lost against Kostya Tszyu, lost against Oscar De La Hoya twice, lost against Pernell Whitaker (saved by judges) and arguably lost against Meldrick Taylor was well (Saved by Richard Steele).

Anyone that "argues" he lost to Taylor doesn't know what they're talking about...when a fighter gets up from a knock down he must respond to the ref and must stand on his own power Taylor did non of those, cant buy time to rip the other fighter off, great job by Steele great win for Chavez.

All fighters with over 70, 80, 90, and especially 100 fights on their record have many/mostly "bums", all of them. Its the great fighters they fought and that they didn't dodge anyone, win or lose that makes them out of the ordinary.

That 2 sec thing is what the hbo crew said not the clock and its not an "excuse" its following the rules.he should have responded and not held on to the ropes...but he couldnt.
