DAZN is putting pressure on the wrong fighter. Triple Tune-Up is the one who needs to have his feet held to the fire in order to get him to fight top 160-168lbs fighters. DAZN should not depend on one super fight a year to sustain them. They need an in depth amount of quality fights throughout the year. And Triple Tune-Up has no interest in fighting anyone with a pulse.

I think Alvarez decision does just that. Is DAZN willing to shelve GGG while Alvarez sits, knowing that he may still refuse to fight GGG unless it's for all the belts. Does DAZN believe that fans will accept another GGG vs no hope fight?

You nailed it! I was hoping that DAZN would pan out and put on good fights at a good price, but they will flame out if they don't fix this quickly developing mess. It might be difficult for some to understand, but as you point out, GGG does not have a huge fan base on his own. He is just another fighter without Canelo.

A Canelo vs Andrade match can easily be marketed. It might turn out that DAZN will lose both Andrade and Canelo and be left with Golovkin as their crown ***el. If that happens, The Perform Group, DANZ's master, might be tempted to part company with John Skipper as their Executive Chairman.

If you're going to criticize Golovkin you have to criticize Canelo if you want credibility. They have done so many of the same things.

Agreed, Canelo should walk. He is their biggest star and he brings in numbers no matter who he fights, yet they insist he can only fight GGG. I have been a boxing fanatic since the early 80s and yet I have never seen a super star boxer treated so poorly by it's tv partner. DAZN is doing things ass backwards. They lost Joshua, now that he has been proved a fraud. Canelo is the only fighter they have that can bring in consumers, but yet they are antagonizing him so much that he does not want to fight in September. He should not be restricted to fighting GGG when there are a lot of fresh new faces he could fight.

As for HBO DAZN could learn a few things. HBO throughout its history (excluding the last 7 yrs) put out quality fights. Their top stars always eventually fought the best in their respective eras. They did not just fight the same guy over and over again and in between they fought bums. HBO's library is filled with quality fights. DAZN seems like they do not want that type of reputation. They seem to want one or 2 big fights per year and the rest of the year they will show ***** fights.

They need to back off Canelo and trust that he will fight top competition. Based on his resume he has earned that trust. Let Canelo pick who he wants to fight.

This really sucks I assume GB tried lowballing everyone and got little interest in return. I think the fans were ready for Andrade vs Canelo so that is extremely disappointing, I guess 3 fights in 9 months was a big ask for Canelo too. What a shame. Would love to see Andrade face GGG maybe. GGG needs to fight a live dog next. Andrade too. Charlo too.
