nakatani has good timing, reach, KO power
lopez wings his punches pretty wide, wouldn't be surprised if lopez gets clipped

nakatani- keys are his jab, counter punching

Hey don't generalize! Take for instance the 8 year old human Pokemon that Floyd played two minutes of patty-cake with last Dec before quietly decapitating with the same force one would use when gently reprimanding their dachsund. Jokes aside Japan has made a pretty solid account of itself recently, between Nakatani, Naoya Inoue, Takeshi Inoue who radiated impressive Japanese Canelo vibes against Jaime Munguia back in January, and last week's brutally satisfying Murata redemption. And probably others I'm overlooking because I haven't really done due diligence with the current Japanese or general Asian scene.

So you’re ready to give Teofimo his full props when he destroys Nakatani right?

Nakatani is a praise worthy opponent, Teo's first real test. He can fail this quite easily actually. Nakatani is a good bit taller, quite powerful and a lot longer than him.

I kind of like this approach Nakatani is taking. Be aggressive from the start and not give Lopez any space to set up a jab or box. There are two things I can take away from Lopez that are negatives: his footwork and head movement. Lopez relies on his speed and punching power and if Nakatani has power, head movement and timing then it's going to be a tough fight for Lopez. It's easy for a prospect to look good against a human punching bag that stands in the pocket and I'm more than certain Nakatani is not the case. We already know Lopez is having trouble making weight and that could also be a factor in how this fight will play out. I'm not trying to sound biased but if theyre really serious about setting Lopez up with Loma he needs to really be tested. Otherwise, he won't be ready or last against a considered P4P fighter
