Sweet Pea clearly had a big impact on so many people from many different backgrounds.

Has anyone else found themselves just watching Whitaker fights and highlights all day?

    The memories will live on...
    RIP Champ.

His finest performance IMO, the ring generalship was incredible, controlling and dictating when and where the action would take place against a fellow world class fighter.

Another fight that stands out for me for completely different reasons is the Hurtado fight. Everything was going wrong for Sweet Pea in that fight; he’d overlooked his opponent, he got dropped early, behind on the cards but like a true champion found a way to win. Possibly his most memorable knockout as well.
