    Green, McCline victorious!

    Friday, July 21 2006

Unbeaten super middleweight Allan Green (21-0, 15 KOs) showed "The Contender: Season One" star Anthony Bonsante (26-8-3) what it's like to get in with a real contender Friday night at the Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Green brutalized Bonsante dropping him with a left hook, then finishing him with another left hook at 2:37 fifth round. Next up for Green could be an October SHOWTIME date with ex-IBF champ Jeff Lacy.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heavyweight Jameel McCline (37-6-3, 23 KOs) won a spirited ten round unanimous decision over Terry Smith (28-1-1, 18 KOs) in a bout where both fighters had their moments. Scores were 97-94, 97-93, 98-92. McCline wins the NABO heavyweight title.

DId you expect anything differently? Green is a threat to anybody at his weight and Bonsante's claim to fame was losing a bogus decision to another bum from the Contendor. Green could beat Mora and Bonsante in the same night.

Whoo-hoo I nailed both fights, though I think I picked Green by KO in the 6th
