Columbians are badasses, so are Peruvians and all South Americans. Poder de la Selva. my first favorite Columbian boxer was Joel Julio. I still remember I had a few of his bouts recorded on videotape when he was on the rise with SHOBOX. I have his Kamya fight here somewhere, can't even find that one on the net
Exactly. Not saying Whyte can't win, just saying its closer than some make it out to be.
As for Colombian boxers, don't know many... Prescott, Miranda and Alvarez (because I'm from Montreal).
But I'm headed to Colombia in 2 weeks! Can't wait... Just have to be careful; apparently Colombian women are more dangerous than drug lords. lol

Whyte falling into the same trap as AJ, starting to believe the hysterical hype of the UK fanboys. Incorrectly thinks he's top 10, but he will get exposed, probably in this fight.

Kid Pambele Antonio Cervantes was awesome until he started smoking crack. Best Colombian fighter ever.

Joel Julio was a bum unfortunately that was exposed by Carlos Quintana. I rooted for Julio and I remember Lampley hyping him up, liquid dynamite in his fists. Way to stationary and predictable.

My favorite Colombian fighter since the 90’s was Ricardo Torres. He gave Cotto hell and had he gone to the body would’ve gotten Cotto out of there.

He also won the title against Holt in a controversial fight but got beat down in the rematches.

All in all Torres was def a notch above Julio.

Rivas is small but Whyte isn’t a world class killer. Rivas is a live dog, will be interesting to see what Whyte does.
