Comments Thread For: George Foreman: Joshua Doesn't Need Ruiz, Delay The Rematch!

Gotta be a real confidence booster for AJ that no one recommends he take the rematch just yet.

He’s not wrong in a lot of ways. It’s a gamble. He’s made enough to let this fight ride though.

I was listening to guys talking with radio raheem and word is that deontay is trying to get a match with Ruiz first before he goes on to re-beat roid kings Luis and Tyson.man if that happens deontay will have all the belts and the fight with tyson would be even bigger deontay would be the new cash cow.

I said the same thing at first, but now I say... let AJ take the rematch. He seems to have his mind set on it. If that's what he wants, then let him be a man and forge his own path.

The problem is that Joshua exercised the rematch clause with Ruiz and yesterday Wilder spoke with WBN's (World Boxing News) Phil Jay about his upcoming fight with Ortiz.

Concluding on when the Ortiz return may be taking place, Wilder added: “We’re looking at somewhere near the end of this year, between September, October or November".

Easy for George to say, but the weight of the world is on AJ's shoulders to take this rematch and prove that this fight was a fluke.

Why would Joshua not want to fight for the chance to become a unified world champion? If ruiz has his number ruiz has his number but Joshua doesn't believe that.

I don’t think Joshua can afford to not take the rematch. He needs to prove that the first time was a fluke and to recover his belts before the sanctioning bodies start to break them up. It’s the only way to salvage the big fights he wants. Also it’s a fight he’s perfectly capable of winning. He doesn’t have to be afraid of Ruiz.
