Comments Thread For: Lawrence Okolie Looks Forward To Invading Heavyweight Ranks

Undefeated cruiserweight Lawrence Okolie (12-0) has no doubt that he will eventually go up in weight to the heavyweight division. The 26-year-old boxer, less than three years as a pro, has picked up the British and Commonwealth cruiserweight titles and wants to capture a European or world title before a move in weight

This guy should worry about looking decent against anyone half decent at his current weight!

#TheTakeover Is this guy serious? Or does he mean he wants to stink out the heavyweight division as well? He's hands down the least watchable fighter in the whole of boxing. #Deluded

Absolutely delusional. He hasn’t fought anyone of note in the cruiserweight division & I can’t think of a more aesthetically displeasing boxer, past or present.
Hey, Mr 1 hour run & all the other Wilder sycophants; I’m an English man telling it like it is regarding a British boxer. Kind of p.isses all over your BS theories doesn’t it.

He’s a true champ. He wins decisions with multiple points deductions and does not gaf about looking terrible. By round three his opponents and their corner are so bored that they’re hoping Okolie gets a KO.

LO's a massive prospect @ 200LB but really needs some overseas experience. If I'm correct he's #1 with the EBU, so how about him challenging Yves Ngabu somewhere on mainland Europe?!

Says he gonna learn not to hold, lol.

I like Okolie though those who have said he hasn’t fought anyone are wrong really. He’s fought decent operators and so far he’s struggled against some of them. So he’s hardly fought nobody. I commend him for reaching his level very quickly.

If you go through the levels and struggle at one it could be that’s your level.

But Okolie will push through until he’s definitively beaten.

It’s not a given that boxers are like that. A lot of em fight below their level of competency.

                Compare LO to Yarde.

Yarde’s has no idea what his level is. How can he?

He gets killed beyond belief at HW. Won't be able to hold and grapple big HW's and they will bounce his head around like a ping pong ball. Imagine a much lighter, more chinny and ****ty version of Akinwande

akinwande wasn't too bad a boxer ( if you ignore the holding in the Lennox fight.) fairly underrated

okolie hasn't faced the divisions big hitters at cruiser yet , i also think he would with the strength and power of the heavies
