Comments Thread For: Arum: It's Silly To Talk About Miller Facing Fury or Anyone Else

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, who co-promotes heavyweight Tyson Fury, highly doubts Jarrell Miller will be selected to face his boxing in the coming months. Miller is under a WBA suspension, after he failed three drug tests in the lead-up to a planned fight with then world champion Anthony Joshua on June 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Bob Arum signing Tyson Fury will destroy the profit margin of Top Rank it’s a huge mistake he was never a ticket seller or box office in the UK so why should he be big in the US his debut flopped in Vegas only selling 5k tickets which is disgraceful for Vegas.

You need to look at the bigger picture not just fight by fight.
Bit by bit they’re building and piecing things together.

And I’ve no idea what they paid Schwartz but I’ll bet it wasn’t much compared with the other possibles.
It was just a little showcase and that was all.
Everyone is talking about Fury, good or bad.
I reckon they know what they’re doing.

We'll see how Fury does in the US. It seems to me his personality and charisma are better suited for the American market, and as long as TR gives him decent fights, I think he'll do fine. Arum definitely sees money in Fury.

Apparently Arum/Top Rank lost circa 9/10 million dollars on the show and are getting frustrated at team Fury’s lack of wanting to fight a credible opponent next.

They need an American, Miller fits the bill. Boxing has no shame so it’s not a big deal.

Technically, Big Baby Miller is suspended indefinitely because there are no guarantees that the NYSAC will ever grant him a license to fight again. I know it's not a universal suspension because it is done on a state by state basis.

However, most states follow the same protocol as other states when granting individuals a license to fight. Technically, he could fight in other states but chances are that's highly unlikely due to the circumstances.

The only way I can see him fighting sooner, if he decides to fight over seas and leave the U.S.

Yeah bob, it would be silly to put fury in with anyone that’s a threat to Fury’s only big money fight with Wildzilla. Right now showing..The Return Of Wildzilla Vs King Kong
