When the WBC vacated Canelo's title they decided to use option C of section 3.17: award title to a fighter who previously won an eliminator

According to Section 3.18 the WBC can call an immediate mandatory for Charlo or Charlo can request a voluntary against a top 15 WBC rated fighter.

Charlo would obviously prefer a top 15 defense than having to fight G or Jacobs.
